The Town of Gorham is located at the Northerly end of the Mt Washington Valley and in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The famous Mt Washington auto Road is about 8 miles south of the motel. (As in: "This car climbed Mt Washington" bumper stickers.) Routes 16 and 2 make up the Main Street of Gorham and it is a very heavily traveled road way for many tourists especially those coming from Canada to New England Resorts in the summer season. It is one of the few towns anywhere that you may see an ATV driving up Main Street headed to the many off road trails now designated throughout the northern part of New Hampshire.
