The Wayfarer, Bedford, NH and functional obsolescence

Posted on October 28th, 2011 by Peter Annon

We have discussed on numerous occasions the number of hotels throughout New England that are facing functional obsolesence. At the current time we have two such properties under agreement to be demolished and planned for other uses, one in Manchester VT. and the other in Merrimack NH. We are now offering the former Wayfarer Hotel in Bedford, NH with the intent that it to will be demoslished. In the mid 70’s this was the go to place, but it has seen troubled times and is now closed and shuttered. It does, however, sit on 16 acres of prime land that can developed into a number of uses. The current owner is willing to consider, a sale, a long term lease, a lease/purchase or a Joint Venture.
